RANSFLEX Electrostatic Waterborne

Waterborne material draws attention as low-impact coating material. Solvent material contains a ton of Volatile Organic Compound, so-called "VOC" and can cause photochemical smog. VOC emission mainly comes from finishing Industry.
Waterborne material includes exceptionally low VOC so that it would be effective way to reduce VOC emission.

One of the difference between Solvent and waterborne is electrical resistance. General solvent material has the resistance and no current flows compared with waterborne material.

On the otherhand waterborne material is conductive and electricity flows to a ground. A standard electrostatic gun takes charge to material from electrode which contacts material.
If you use waterborne with electrostatic gun, the current flows into earth through waterborne supply and electrostatic gun wouldn’t work properly.

Furthermore, if paint supply is insulated, RANSFLEX for solvent wouldn’t work because the current flows from grounded air hose or operator.
Being that the electrode of RANSFLEX Indirect waterborne doesn’t does not contact material directly, you are required to ground paint supply.

Now RANSFLEX for waterborne, its new two types of RANSFLEX have been launched, RANSFLEX RFXw, Direct waterborne and RANSFLEX RXi, Indirect waterborne.

Electrostatic Waterborne / RFXw (Direct Charge) Features

As the electrode of RANSFLEX RFXw takes charge to material directly, it dose not function when the paint supply is grounded.
When you use RANSFLEX RFXw, the fluid line and source must be insulated from ground. An insulated paint stand or insulated material must be used. You must insulate all equipments including paint tank and pump because it takes charges to material directly. It makes high electric-charged and high transfer efficiency.

Electrostatic Waterborne / RXi (Indirect Charge) Features

RANSFLEX RXi uses indirect electrostatic charging technology which means there is no longer any need to isolate the waterborne paint feed containers or paint pumps with expensive isolation cages or tanks, saving users significant expense and floor space.
RANSFLEX RXi is suitable for painting line which is difficult to insulate. One of the example, automotive paint line with paint circulation system.
